Quick Creamy Sausage Pasta

Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil and brown the sausage, breaking it into smaller pieces.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, and salt and pepper, then simmer covered for 15 minutes.
- Mix in the heavy cream and add the drained pasta, stirring until well coated.
- Serve and top with Parmesan cheese if desired.
