Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Chocolate Drink
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, salt, brown sugar, espresso powder (if using), and chocolate drink.
  3. Place a 9-inch cast iron skillet in the oven to heat.
  4. Blend eggs, milk, and vanilla in a blender until combined.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Melt butter in the hot skillet, tilting to coat the bottom.
  7. Pour the batter into the skillet and bake for 20-24 minutes until puffed.
  8. Serve immediately with fresh berries, powdered sugar, and syrup if desired.
