Ingredients

The batter

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For serving

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced into halves
  • to taste maple syrup or buttermilk syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Blend the flour, eggs, milk, and salt until smooth.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of melted butter in a cast-iron skillet over high heat until foamy.
  4. Pour the batter into the skillet and immediately place it in the oven.
  5. Bake until the pancake is golden brown and puffed up, about 18 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, place strawberries in the center, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with syrup.
