Fresh Honeydew Margaritas

The margarita

fresh honeydew juice

tequila, preferably 100% agave silver or blanco

fresh lime juice

teaspoon
agave nectar or simple syrup (optional)
For preparation

ancho chili powder or regular chili powder

Instructions
- Slice the honeydew melon in half and scoop out the seeds.
- Scoop pieces of melon into a blender and blend until smooth, being careful not to overfill.
- Mix kosher salt and chili powder on a small plate.
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip into the salt mixture.
- Add ice cubes to the prepared glasses.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, honeydew juice, tequila, and lime juice.
- Shake for 30 seconds, taste, and add sweetener if desired.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses and serve.
