Kale Pasta

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup fresh basil
  • 2 cups packed kale
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or hemp seeds
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Add basil, kale, walnuts or hemp seeds, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt to a food processor and blend until a paste forms.
  2. While blending, stream in olive oil one tablespoon at a time, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add warm water one tablespoon at a time until you achieve a pourable consistency.
  4. Adjust the sauce to taste with more lemon, salt, nutritional yeast, or nuts/seeds as desired.
