Ingredients

The patties

  • 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
  • ½ medium onion, finely chopped
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

The assembly

  • as needed buns
  • as needed lettuce
  • as needed tomato
  • as needed cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with kosher salt and chopped onion in a bowl.
  2. Gently form the mixture into 3 patties without overpacking.
  3. Chill the patties until ready to grill.
  4. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  5. Season both sides of the patties with kosher salt and pepper.
  6. Grill the patties to your desired doneness.
