Ingredients

The dough

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon instant yeast
  • cups room temperature water
  • ¼ cup olive oil

The cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheese of choice

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, and yeast in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in water and olive oil until a thick dough forms, then gently mix in cheese.
  3. Cover the bowl and let it rest for 12-18 hours at room temperature.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F and place a Dutch Oven inside to heat for 30 minutes.
  5. Scrape the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a ball, and place it on parchment.
  6. Transfer the dough and parchment into the heated Dutch Oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Enjoy the bread warm, with butter, or dunked in soup.
