Instructions
- Thaw the soft shell crabs if frozen and pat them dry.
- Combine flour, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper in a shallow bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, hot sauce, and parsley.
- Dredge the crabs in the seasoned flour, then dip in the egg wash, and coat again in flour.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the crabs for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain the fried crabs on paper towels.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing lettuce and tomato on the bun, adding the fried crab, tartar sauce, and pickles, then top with the other half of the bun.
