Ingredients

The burgers

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 ounces freshly grated white cheddar cheese
  • 4 whole grain English muffins
  • 4 large eggs
  • to taste fresh arugula
  • to taste canola oil for grilling

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • a pinch pinch kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking sheet for the bacon.
  2. Cook the bacon until crisp and set aside.
  3. Mix the sauce ingredients and set aside.
  4. Combine the burger patty ingredients and shape into four patties.
  5. Cook the patties on a grill, flipping until cooked through, adding cheese in the last minute.
  6. Fry the eggs to your desired doneness.
  7. Assemble the burgers with sauce, arugula, patties, eggs, and bacon on English muffins.
