Ingredients

The rice

  • cups uncooked white rice

The liquid

  • 3 cups broth or water

The flavorings

  • 2 tablespoons butter, cubed
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under a steady stream of water until it runs clear.
  2. Spray the slow cooker insert with cooking spray.
  3. Add the rinsed rice and broth or water to the slow cooker.
  4. Dot the rice with cubed butter and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Cover the rice with parchment paper and place the lid on the slow cooker.
  6. Cook on high for 1½ to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, and check for doneness after 1½ hours.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
