Russet potatoes, peeled and shredded

Instructions
- Rinse the shredded potatoes in cool water and then soak them in fresh cool water for 10 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and squeeze out as much liquid as possible using a cheesecloth.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the potatoes to the skillet and sprinkle with onion powder, salt, and pepper, pressing into an even layer.
- Cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Cut the hash browns in half and carefully flip each half over, cooking until browned.
- Remove from heat, cut into four pieces, and serve.
