Chocolate Bark
Ingredients
The base

grapeseed oil or palm shortening

agave nectar or honey

chocolate chips
The nuts and spices

pecans

celtic sea salt

cayenne

teaspoon
ground cinnamon

ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Heat oil and agave in a skillet until bubbling.
- Add pecans and stir to coat, then mix in salt and spices.
- Cook for 4 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Spread nuts on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast in a 400°F oven for 4 minutes, then cool completely.
- Melt chocolate in a separate saucepan over very low heat.
- Pour melted chocolate into a parchment-lined 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Break pecans into pieces and sprinkle over the chocolate.
- Spread the mixture evenly to a thickness of ½ inch.
- Allow to set at room temperature for 1-2 hours, then cut into squares and serve.
