Toasted Pecan Toffee
Ingredients
The toffee

granulated sugar

corn syrup

well-chopped pecans, toasted
The chocolate coating

½
pound
chocolate, cut into chunks
Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook the mixture until it bubbles and reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup of toasted pecans.
- Pour the toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a round shape.
- Allow the toffee to cool.
- Melt half of the chocolate and spread it over the cooled toffee, then sprinkle with ½ cup of pecans.
- After 20 minutes, flip the toffee and spread the remaining melted chocolate on the other side, topping with the remaining pecans.
- Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
