Strawberry Coulis
Ingredients

fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and sliced

lemon or ½ medium orange (zest and juice)

cup
granulated sugar, maple syrup or honey

a pinch
coarse salt
Instructions
- Hull and slice the strawberries.
- Combine the strawberries, citrus zest and juice, sweetener, and salt in a medium saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes until the strawberries are very soft.
- Puree the mixture using an immersion blender or by transferring it to a blender or food processor until smooth.
- Transfer the coulis to an airtight container, let it cool, and refrigerate.
