Instructions
- Beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Add confectioners' sugar and mix until combined and creamy.
- Incorporate vanilla extract, then gradually add flour and salt until the dough comes together.
- If using, mix in chopped pecans.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Bake the cookies until golden brown on the edges, about 15 minutes.
- Cool the cookies for 5 minutes, then roll them in confectioners' sugar.
- Once cooled, roll them in confectioners' sugar again for a snowy finish.
