Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries

Ingredients

The fries

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

The garlic parmesan butter

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • to taste fresh parsley
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes into fries using a mandoline, knife, or food processor.
  2. Place the potatoes in a dutch oven filled with cold water.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and add the salt and baking soda.
  4. Cook for 3 minutes until the potatoes are just cooked through but not mushy.
  5. Drain the potatoes and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Dry the potatoes with paper towels and chill for an hour or up to overnight.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375° F.
  8. Spray the potatoes with oil and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer, cooking in batches if necessary.
  9. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  11. Add garlic and rosemary to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  12. Drizzle the garlic butter over the fries and gently toss to coat.
  13. Top with parmesan, parsley, and salt, and serve warm.
