Ingredients

The fries

  • 1 lb Russet potatoes (washed and scrubbed, with skin on)

The seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes into ¼-inch-thick matchsticks.
  2. Soak the fries in cold water for at least 20 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 385°F (196°C).
  4. Toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  5. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Optionally, reheat all fries in the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes to crisp up.
