The corn

  • 4 to 8 ears fresh sweet corn

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Remove the husks and silks from the corn.
  3. Add the corn to the boiling water and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until tender and bright yellow.
  4. Alternatively, you can start with cold water and bring it to a boil, cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until just tender.
  5. Drain the corn and serve warm with butter, salt, and pepper.
