Instructions
- Combine the wild rice blend and vegetable broth in a saucepot, cover, and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or according to package instructions.
- While the rice cooks, dice the onion, celery, and apple.
- Sauté the onion in butter over medium heat until softened.
- Add the diced apple, celery, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Once the rice is cooked, add it to the skillet along with walnuts, cranberries, and parsley.
- Stir to combine, taste, and adjust seasonings as needed before serving hot.
