Baked Barbecue Chicken Breast

The sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400º F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients except for the chicken.
- Place the chicken in a marinating container and pour the marinade over it, sealing it for 12 minutes.
- Transfer the marinated chicken to the lined baking sheet and brush both sides with barbecue sauce.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken, brush with more barbecue sauce, and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Flip again, brush with more barbecue sauce, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160º F.
- Allow the chicken to cool before storing it.
