Roasted Sesame Shishito Peppers

Ingredients

The Peppers

  • 2 pounds fresh shishito peppers

The Vinaigrette

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (black or beige)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Wash the shishito peppers and place them whole in a baking dish.
  3. Whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic, then drizzle over the peppers and toss to coat.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the peppers.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes, stirring every 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and tender.
  6. Serve immediately.
