The Cobbler Crust

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Combine all cherry filling ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Place butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and transfer to the oven for 3 minutes until melted.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder until just combined.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
- Pour the cherry filling over the batter and bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
