Ingredients

The patties

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

The sauce and vegetables

  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 12 ounces beef gravy
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 6 patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Place mushrooms and onion in the slow cooker and add the browned patties on top.
  5. Pour gravy and beef broth over the patties, cover, and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours.
  6. Remove patties and keep warm.
  7. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the slow cooker, cooking on HIGH for 3-5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  8. Serve the patties topped with the sauce and garnish with parsley.
