Instructions
- Soak the breadcrumbs in a bowl with grated onion juice.
- Mix the remaining Salisbury Steak ingredients into the bowl until combined and sticky.
- Divide the mixture into 8 oval patties about ¾ inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the patties on both sides.
- Set the browned patties aside in a baking dish.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms, onion, and garlic until partially cooked.
- Add butter and flour to the skillet, stirring to form a roux.
- Gradually add beef broth while stirring to keep the gravy smooth.
- Mix in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the gravy over the patties, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
