Instructions
- Combine all meat patty ingredients in a large mixing bowl and knead until evenly mixed.
- Divide the mixture into 3 or 4 equal portions and shape into oval patties.
- Melt ghee in a skillet over medium-high heat, then cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove the patties and lower the heat to medium-low. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper to the onions and cook until soft and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Mix sauce ingredients in a measuring cup until well combined.
- Return the meat patties to the skillet and pour the sauce over them.
- Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for about 25 minutes until the sauce thickens and the meat is cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
