Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for baked tofu.
  2. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes, then cut it into cubes or slabs.
  3. Brush the tofu with BBQ sauce on all sides and arrange it on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, flip the tofu, brush with more BBQ sauce, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. For grilled tofu, preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  6. Brush the tofu with BBQ sauce and thread onto skewers if grilling cubes.
  7. Oil the grill grates with cooking spray, then grill the tofu for 2 to 3 minutes per side until well-charred, brushing with more BBQ sauce before serving.
