Ingredients

The salmon

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin on (cut into 4 equal portions)

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • optional lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat, around 400°F-450°F.
  2. Remove the salmon fillets from the refrigerator and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Lightly brush both sides of the salmon with avocado oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the clean grill grates. Close the grill and cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Gently flip the salmon to cook flesh side down for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from the grill when the internal temperature reaches 130°F and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with lemon or other toppings as desired.
