Tender Grilled Salmon

The salmon

The marinade

oil (vegetable, canola, or olive)

garlic powder or 2-3 cloves garlic, finely minced

red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Season the salmon fillets on both sides with lemon pepper.
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, water or broth, oil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until the sugar is dissolved.
- 3. Place the salmon in a large ziplock bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the salmon is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
- 4. Preheat the grill to medium heat and clean the grates well, lightly coating them with oil.
- 5. Grill the salmon for 5 to 7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until it flakes easily with a fork.
- 6. Alternatively, wrap the salmon in a foil packet with a drizzle of marinade and grill or bake in a 400°F oven for about 15 minutes.
