Grilled Salmon

The salmon and marinade

Instructions
- Whisk together the vegetable oil, soy sauce, water, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, hot sauce, and white pepper in a bowl until combined.
- Marinate the salmon in the mixture, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, drain it, and discard the marinade.
- Brush the salmon lightly with oil and season with salt, pepper, and Creole seasoning.
- Preheat the grill to high for 3-5 minutes, then reduce to medium-high heat.
- Oil the grill grates using a paper towel dipped in oil.
- Place the salmon skin-side up on the grill and cook for about 4-6 minutes per side.
- Check for doneness with an instant-read thermometer, which should read 145℉/63℃.
- Remove the salmon from the grill using a wide spatula.
