Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ pound unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips or chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet lined with foil and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat or in the microwave and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pudding mix, and baking soda; set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well mixed.
  5. Stir in the flour mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and refrigerate the dough for about an hour or overnight.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Divide the dough into 25-30 portions and place them 3 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake one tray at a time until the cookies are golden brown and the edges have set but the centers are still soft, about 10-14 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through.
  10. Let the cookies cool for about 2 minutes before serving.
