Instructions
- Whisk together flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the butter and shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Gradually add the ice cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough starts to clump together.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently fold it until fully incorporated.
- Divide the dough in half and shape into discs, then wrap in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate the discs for at least 2 hours before rolling out.
