All-Butter Flaky Pie Crust

very cold unsalted butter, cut into ¾-inch chunks
Instructions
- Combine hot water, sugar, vinegar, and salt, stir until dissolved, and chill.
- Mix flour and butter in an electric mixer until you achieve a shaggy texture.
- Slowly drizzle in half of the chilled sugar-water mixture until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a counter, press into a mound, divide in half, and shape into discs.
- Wrap each disc in plastic and refrigerate for two hours before using.
