Ingredients

The wings

  • 2 ½ pounds chicken wings or drumettes

The marinade

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

The sauce

  • ½ cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter (preferably grass-fed), melted
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the oil, salt, paprika, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Place the wings in a plastic bag and pour the marinade over them, allowing them to sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Arrange the chicken on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 40 minutes until cooked through.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine the buffalo sauce, melted butter, vinegar, and cayenne pepper, cooking over low heat until the butter is melted.
  6. Transfer the wings to a large bowl and toss them with the sauce before serving.
