Ingredients

The potatoes

The seasoning

  • kosher salt to taste kosher salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons buttermilk powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chives (dried)

The oil

  • as needed spray cooking oil spray (olive oil recommended)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes, then slice them into chips about 1/10th of an inch thick.
  2. Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. After soaking, dry the potatoes thoroughly.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
  5. Sprinkle the potato slices with salt and add them to the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
  6. Spray the potato slices with cooking oil.
  7. Cook the potatoes at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, then shake the basket.
  8. Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes or until the chips are golden brown.
  9. In a food processor, blend the buttermilk powder, onion powder, and chives for 20-30 seconds.
  10. Remove the chips from the air fryer and toss them with the seasoning mixture.
  11. Allow the chips to cool for 30 minutes to become crunchier before serving.
