Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, then whisk until well combined.
  3. Stir in the cream until a shaggy dough forms, ensuring no dry flour remains.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it 5 or 6 times until it comes together.
  5. Pat the dough to about ¾-inch thick and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
  6. Transfer the biscuits to the baking sheet and brush the tops lightly with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 11 to 14 minutes until golden brown, then brush with remaining butter and serve.
