Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray an 8x8 pan with cooking spray.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
- In another bowl, stir together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and stir until smooth.
- Combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients and stir until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and tuck the caramel balls into the batter.
- Bake for 23-25 minutes until set, then let cool before cutting and serving.
