Ingredients

The chickpeas

  • 1 can (15.5 ounces) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or other neutral oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)

Taco seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander

Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dry thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Nutritional yeast seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas to a medium bowl and drizzle with olive oil and salt. If using a seasoning mix, add 2 teaspoons of it. Toss to combine.
  2. Transfer the chickpeas to the air fryer tray, ensuring they are in a single layer.
  3. Air fry at 390°F for 12-15 minutes, checking at 12 minutes for desired crispiness.
  4. Once golden and crispy, remove from the air fryer and toss with 1 teaspoon of the remaining seasoning mix.
