Ingredients

Watermelon and Toppings

  • 1 small watermelon (cut into bite-size triangles)
  • 2 Tbsp finely sliced avocado
  • 2 Tbsp pickled ginger
  • ¼ medium red onion (very thinly sliced)
  • 1-2 tsp sesame seeds

Glaze

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2-3 Tbsp tamari
  • ¼ tsp wasabi (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon into bite-sized triangles and place on a paper towel to absorb moisture.
  2. Whisk together the glaze ingredients and set aside.
  3. Transfer the watermelon to a serving plate and brush the tops with the glaze.
  4. Top with avocado, red onion, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds.
  5. Enjoy immediately, best when fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
