Instructions
- 1. Whisk the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves, reserving ¼ cup of the mixture.
- 2. Simmer the remaining glaze over medium heat until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes, then keep warm.
- 3. Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet with foil, lightly coating it with cooking spray.
- 4. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the onion until golden, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- 5. Process saltines and milk until smooth, then combine with beef and pork in a large bowl.
- 6. Add the onion mixture, eggs, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper, mixing with hands until combined.
- 7. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet and broil until browned.
- 8. Brush with reserved glaze and broil again briefly.
- 9. Bake at 350°F until cooked through, then let rest before slicing.
