Ingredients

The meatloaf

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • cup milk

The glaze

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for 30-60 minutes or overnight if possible.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  6. While the meatloaf is baking, mix the glaze ingredients in a small bowl until well blended.
  7. After 45 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven and spoon the glaze over the top.
  8. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  9. Allow the meatloaf to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
