Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80% lean
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, eggs, bread crumbs, ½ cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
  3. Rinse a loaf pan with water, pack the meat mixture tightly into the pan.
  4. Flip the pan onto the prepared baking sheet to release the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 60 minutes, then increase the oven temperature to 400°F.
  6. Brush the remaining ¼ cup of ketchup on the meatloaf and return it to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
