Ingredients

The salad

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp ghee (or coconut oil for dairy free)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 medium pickles, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

The Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1 small dill pickle, finely diced

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ghee, then add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  2. While the beef is cooking, prepare the Big Mac sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerating.
  3. Chop the lettuce, onion, pickles, tomatoes, and cheese (if using).
  4. Assemble the salad by mixing all ingredients in a large bowl or serve in individual bowls with the sauce drizzled on top.
