Favorite Fudgy Brownies

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an 8x8-inch aluminum cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix the cocoa powder and white whole wheat flour together and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar, mixing with an electric mixer on medium/low speed.
- In a separate small bowl, melt ¾ cup of chocolate chips in the microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture and mix on low until combined.
- Stir in the melted chocolate chips and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Gradually add the flour and cocoa mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low until combined.
- Fold in the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 22-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Optionally, top with coarse sea salt.
