Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Sweet Potatoes

sweet potatoes, peeled & cubed into 1-inch pieces
The flavorings

butter

1% milk

light sour cream

salt and fresh cracked ground pepper
Instructions
- Place the sweet potatoes in the slow cooker and add enough water to cover them.
- Add salt to the water, cover, and set the slow cooker to low for 4 hours.
- Melt the butter in a small pan and sauté the garlic until lightly golden just before the potatoes are ready.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the slow cooker.
- Pour the garlic butter over the potatoes, add milk and sour cream, and mash until smooth.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste, and keep the slow cooker set to warm until ready to serve.
