Ingredients

The eggs

  • 12 large eggs

The boiling water

  • 1-2 tablespoons vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Fill a saucepan with enough water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch.
  2. Bring the water to a boil, then stir in vinegar and salt.
  3. Carefully lower the eggs into the boiling water and start the timer.
  4. Once the timer is up, transfer the eggs to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
  5. Shake the eggs in the ice bath to crack the shells, then peel them under running water if needed.
