Ingredients

The eggs

  • 8 large Eggs

The cooking liquid

  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of a large saucepan and cover with water, ensuring at least 1 inch of water above them.
  2. Add vinegar and salt to the pot and stir gently.
  3. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, set a timer for 1 minute for very runny yolks or 2 minutes for slightly runny yolks.
  5. Prepare an ice water bath or run cold water until ice cold.
  6. When the timer goes off, drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to the ice water bath or run cold water over them.
  7. If serving immediately, remove the eggs once warm but not hot, peel off the top, and enjoy. If saving for later, let them cool to room temperature before peeling.
