The eggs

  • 2 to 4 large eggs

Seasoning

  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Fill a medium pot with water and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  2. 2. Carefully lower the eggs into the water using a slotted spoon and let them simmer for 7 minutes.
  3. 3. Prepare an ice bath by filling a large bowl with cold water and adding ice.
  4. 4. Once the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to the ice bath for at least 3 minutes.
  5. 5. Tap the bottom of each egg to crack the shell and use a small spoon to loosen and remove the shell.
  6. 6. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
