Fall Apple Turkey Burgers

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground turkey, shredded apple, shredded onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined, preferably using your hands.
- Form the mixture into patties, using about ½ cup of meat for each.
- Heat a large skillet with 2 tbsp of avocado oil over medium heat and add the patties.
- Cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cover for an additional 5 minutes to ensure they cook through. Repeat until all burgers are cooked.
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of avocado oil or butter for the caramelized onions.
- Add sliced onions and salt, cooking over medium heat while stirring until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers with apple slices and caramelized onions on top.
