Instructions
- Activate the yeast by whisking together agave, yeast, and warm water, then let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in olive oil and salt, then gradually add flour until the dough is no longer sticky.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until doubled.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Boil water in a pot and add baking soda.
- Divide the dough into 8 portions, shape into pretzels, and boil each for 30 seconds on each side.
- Transfer boiled pretzels to the baking sheet, brush with vegan butter, sprinkle with salt, and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
