Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Mix on low speed to combine, then increase to medium speed and mix for 4-5 minutes until light and creamy.
- Add the egg and mix until combined.
- Add the flour and chocolate chips, mixing until no dry streaks remain.
- Scoop the dough into rounded balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly golden and set around the edges.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
